Lomography changed my life…
Today, I am going to be celebrating the marriage of my good friend, Matt Moreno, and his super cool fiancĂ©, Kim Attkisson. They asked me if I would bring my ‘Lomography’ cameras and capture they’re totally awesome day, and, of course, I said “Heck, freakin’ yeah!” duh…
You know… I bought my cameras wanting to expand my amateur-photography experience and I got so much more. There is something about shooting with these cameras that really makes me aware of how certain events are really ‘once-in-a-lifetime.’ These events that I shoot happened once, and will never again happen like that…. I know, it’s slightly depressing and really expresses mortality. You know?
Well, here are the cameras that I have used and own and I really encourage you to go check out www.lomography.com and find one for yourself. These cameras are considered ‘toy’ cameras and are primarily made of plastic. Plastic lenses, plastic parts… except a few springs and crap like that, which makes them pretty cheap to purchase.
Well, I just wanted to show the kind of cameras I’ve been dancing around town with, and I hope this will get you thinking about photography and possibly capturing some fun events in the future. Let me know if you have any questions or comments!
